For their next cruise, the crew of Acker Records signed on a female Polish skipper with the exotic name An On Bast. Encouraged by the hypnotic chant of the sailors, she navigates “Seaman With A Lap Dog” trough the heavy, rolling waves of sub frequencies just as easy and joyful as if it was a Sunday stroll. For the minimal groove of “Everything Is Possible” she goes straight along a dense wall of humming bass, ghostly sound silhouettes appearing in the mysterious twilight. After a snappy turn she leaves the helm to Mollono.Bass. For his remix of “Seaman With A Lap Dog” this buccaneer rigs the track with tight rhythms and navigates into a melodic, glowing bank of fog. This is not yet the end of the cruise: An On Bast hoists the flag once again and heads towards the surreal Bermuda triangle of sounds. In this way, the unhurried “Ferret Stories” bring the journey to an end just where it has started: In a mood of departure and wanderlust.
