Just before the deadline San Soda provided us with ‘a quick track’ that we could not leave lying on the shelf. ‘Maximum 150 Personen’ is vintage San Soda that will explode any discerning dancefloor in huge fashion. A twisted lead melody, killer drum sounds and a build-up to die for. This is without any doubt a release that will give Lany Recordings the extra exposure it deserves.

Tracklist
1. Poema (Mendo Remix)7:00
2. Poema (Original Mix)6:17

Palermo producer Luca Lento has a glut of group associations to his name since releasing Brothers and Sisters as part of Club Bass, My Nights with Contact-Two, Slow Melodys Take Me Higher and Z-Sides Get Dis Feeling, all back in 1996. Suffice to say the man has experience; plus anyone who can make the alias of Pooper Scooper work has got to be onto something. With releases on Mauro Picottos Alchemy imprint and also having turned his remix hand to UK garage pop crossover Do You Really Like It by Pied Piper, Lento has had love shown by a wealth of select spinners, including Prok & Fitch, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo and Kid Massive. Lathered in percussion of the once you pop-you cant stop variety, deep tribalism is defined by a froth worked into bass rotating with a muddy determination underneath. From there, Poema is shaped by Lentos installation of a crackly vocal made to babble like hes twiddled the dial into the World Service while picking up a house transmission on the same wavelength. Its raspy signals fractured and sent ricocheting in and out of the mix play off the resolution of the groove, where a degree of coming off-the-wall, from the programming of the dialect chattering with irregular sexiness, to the coil doorstopper-like rebounds that surround it, never find Lento losing his balance. Mendo handles the remix by telling the original to pin its shoulders back, the Clarisse headmaster turning the dancefloor into a treadmill with a slight incline and making sure theres a strong armed pull to go with it. Sharper drums, percussion (leaking taps? Radar blips?) flicked down black holes until you can hear them being gulped down, and vocals sounding ever more pitched between bedraggled language tape and the cause of arena voodoo… you can hear deep techno condensation preparing its! descent down the walls of whatever stuffy downstairs spot or domed expanse Poema is ready for.

Genre: Electronic
Style: Tech House

Tracklist
1. Smokey Job (Original Mix)6:31
2. Smokey Job (Reboot Remix)8:27

Now a full year into their journey, Alfa Romero Recordings are now ploughing forward once again with their first release of 2014. Headed up by their very own LORENZO BARTOLETTI and with a remix from none other that REBOOT, this is quite possibly the juiciest ARR release yet! LORENZO BARTOLETTI flies head first into a wildly intoxicating bassline that moves with seemingly unrestrained freedom and funkified tech beats to create a truly modern dancefloor cut that is as unique as it is unpredictable. German stalwart REBOOT turns up the tension and works in some wonderfully idiosyncratic rhythms with his remix. Intricately programmed percussion gives the entire track a restless but restrained feel, creating that tension which makes this such a fantastic remix. The eye-popping artwork on the release is provided by Massimo Pasca; the vibrant artist that has won wide acclaim with his stylish and improvised work.

From DJ to promotions manager to producer, Lee M Kelsall is an experienced player in the global clubbing game. Kelsall’s eclectic taste is cultivated from a wide variety of influences that include old school jams, house, and garage. His first production ‘On The Road’, was signed to Hot Waves within the hour of hitting Lee Foss’ e-mail inbox. Since then he’s had a string of releases and Beatport chart positions on Nurvous, Get Twisted & Runnin Wild. Lee’s previous outings on Love Not Money include tracks on two of our VA compilations, so it was only a matter of time before we released a single of his with a remix from one of last years fastest rising duo’s, Him_Self_Her.

It’s the new year and we at CONNECT:D are proud to be back once again, just like the Renegade Master. After a much streamlined output in 2013, the label returns with a fresh logo, fresh artwork and a fresh musical direction. We hope to be a steady provider of some serious vibes for this year and beyond. We’re kicking things off with a double release to celebrate, and for this one we’re pleased to have Canada native Jay Silver making a CONNECT:D debut with his very first EP. Disco and funk vibes abound in the seriously hooky ‘Tender Touch’ and ‘Memories’, whilst ‘Not For Long’ rounds things off with some deepness. All tracks written and produced by Jay Silver. 3. In The Beginning (Elektromekanik Remix)7:30

We kick off 2014 in seriously uplifting fashion with In The Beginning by Ukrainian artist Tony’s Wayback Machine. To put it simply In The Beginning is a classic ‘feel good’ piano track akin to the trademark Italian piano house sound of the early 90s. Bright piano chords and classic House organ bass take centre stage, before a pitched vocal hook adds the icing to the cake. The ever impressive Midiman deliver a sparkling remix that walks the line between Deep House and Nu Disco before Elektromekanik delivers a classy, warming Nu Disco interpretation to round off the package in fine style.

Tracklist:
A1. Time Will Tell
A2. Forever Yours
B1. Golden Section
B2. At One

Myriadd is Craig Stainton, a producer that has also released as Acid Phreex and Mantra on labels such as Bunker Records, Signals and Creme Organization, to where he returns now with a new four track EP that explores plenty of mystic house and techno territory.

Kicking off the release is ‘Time Will Tell’, which is a nicely frayed, rough round the edges bit of house music with a deep and lashing bassline as well as some rich and rounded melodic hooks. ‘Forever Yours’ kicks that bit harder and more insistently but bares the same sense of misty melodic lushness. Various lines fly about like spirits in the night and bring a haunting sense of melancholy to proceedings before B1 ‘Gold Section’ hiccups and stutters pleasingly. Like everything here, it’s a fairly rich, dense track that layers everything on top of each other with little break for breath. Final track ‘At One’ is backed with the sort of serene pads that have you day dreaming about the future as jacked up beats kick below and all manner of synths whip around in the foreground. House music never sounded as magical as when in the hands of the talented Myriadd.
