Artist: Golden Donna
Title Of Album: II
Year Of Release: 25 feb 2014
Label: 100% Silk – SILK 064
Genre: Deep House, House, Downtempo
Quality: MP3
Bitrate: 320 kbps
Total Time: 00:34:49
Total Size: 78 mb

Tracklist:
1. Remember (05:34)
2. Diamondheaded Girl (05:06)
3. Pale Dream Rider (04:38)
4. Auscultation (04:25)
5. Bloodsucker (03:49)
6. Empty Charm Vessel (05:55)
7. Looking Glass Forest (05:19)

Madisonian synthesizer omnivore follows the trippy club-crunched double helixes of his recent split 12 on Atlanta’s burgeoning CGI imprint with a 7-song skybath of breezy balcony themes, trap-flecked trampoline electronics, pale dream-pitched slow-rides, and diamond-headed aerodynamics for SILK’s subliminal magnetic tape division. There’s a consistent looking-glass curvature to the way he bends textures and percussion, giving them this lens flare plasticity, like a warped sheen of translucent plastic. Dense but dispersed, II pushes past his debut into higher altitude airspace, towards warmer climes. A uniquely hardwired hanging garden of hibernation strategies from a voracious jammer locked in the lair of midwestern winter. Mastered by Ghost Sounds. Hand-numbered edition of 100.

Label/Cat#: Running Back Germany – RB 047
Year: 19 May, 2014
Source: WEB
Format: MP3
Quality: 320 kbps
Size: 70 mb
Genre: Electronic
Style: Deep House

Tracklist:
1. Blaff (08:09)
2. Blaff (Rhythm Tool Strip) (04:37)
3. Untitled (The Island) (07:45)
4. Hot Destinations For A Cooler You (06:36)
5. Untitled (The Island Beat Tool) (04:52)

Given his love of twinkling melodies, warm electronics, new age chords and shuffling analogue house rhythms, Norwegian-in-Berlin Telephones seems a neat fit with Gerd Janson’s Running Back label. The Ocean Called EP certainly chimes with Janson’s love of picturesque deep house and glassy-eyed Scandolearica. There’s happily much to admire, from the chiming melodies and crystal clear textures of “Blaff” (which, incidentally, is accompanied by a great bonus rhythm track), to the glistening beauty of “Hot Destinations” and darting, life-affirming positivity of “Untitled (The Island)”. Of course, none of this will come as a surprise to those who’ve been watching his career blossom over recent years, but this is still particularly potent. Arguably, it’s his best release to date and features some fine art from Sex Tags DJ Fett Burger.
