Finally…a new mini disc release! TRS042 will be a 4 track release from Guy Gelem, entitled, “Reappearance”. This is a lovely blend of electronically treated cello music…and as Guy himself says…”As are most of my previous releases… this work isn’t a result of any proper plan…but after coming up with a few ideas I decided to work only with the cello this time, and to create music that is influenced from the classical world from all the periods. Music that sounds both raw and natural, and yet melodic. I’m always trying to tell a story that even I’m not familiar with, or to paint something that I’ve never seen before. I let the music I compose express my inner feelings, the feelings that even I haven’t confronted yet.”

Maps and Diagrams – the solo project of Tim Martin. To date an enviable back catalogue with releases for such respected sound houses as Static Caravan, Unlabel, Expanding, Smallfish, Awkward Silence and Handstitched* – the latter of which he runs.

One of the finest ambient alchemists in the sphere of modern electronic music, Maps and Diagrams blend delicately formed sound sculptures upon a minimalist ambient palette that are all at once shy, tender, fragile and beguiling.

The release – recorded earlier this year at the Circle Studio. In Circles is Maps and Diagrams second suite for Time Released Sound. Described by its author as his ‘most musical’ opus to date it features a guest appearance by Spain’s I am Dive on the parting Yesterday. Combining frosted hymnals, forlorn lullabies and celestial mirages; In Circles is richly textured and delicately spun.
