Dub Kirtan All Stars’ brand new Subsonic Devotion EP features 3 tracks produced by David Starfire and FreQ Nasty featuring the powerful and compelling vocals of 2 of the Kirtan scene’s most talented singers – Chaytanya and Arjun Baba. ‘Radhe Govinda’ conjures up images of a Dubstep club in the heart of Mumbai with Chatanya bestowing the spacious track with an emotive invocation of the Divine over heavy beats and bass. On ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ Arjun Baba embodies the ‘take no prisoners’ spirit of Hindu deity Shiva delivering a fiery and unrestrained vocal over the top of razor sharp beats and a distorted 303 acid line. The EP closes with the rapturous voice of Chaytanya on a delicate and moving rendition of ‘Kunja Bihari’. Originally recorded as a shiver-inducing acoustic Bhajan it is augmented here by sparse atmospheric dubs, sweet 70’s funk, and a weighty bottom end sub.
