Mordant Music surpass themselves again with this unearthed, alien gem by library composer Donald Fraser and British folk band, Steeleye Span, recorded in 1975. The 15 minute ‘Locomotion’ is a real ace, locked into a tunnel of glue-huffing krautrock groove suffused with the fumes of psychedelic folk and ritual drums. MM’s DLR remix squashes the thing to a demented acid church-hall bogle sparked up with gremlin voices and mutant electronics beside a eerily detached, barely-there Ghost Train Version left to roil in the murk.
