If there’s one culture in the world where balance plays an unequivalent role, it’s that from the land of the Rising Sun. Japanese culture is wildly fascinating on many, many levels. So we are happy to introduce to you our very first Japanese signing: Imugem Orihasam to teach us more about the oriental ways. Imugem delivered 4 stunning and diverse tracks for his debut EP on BALANS. From friendly and uplifting (Beware) to ultradark (Subcutanteous Tissue), abstract & dubby (Detoxification) and homelistening jazzed up electronics (Aquarium). It seems like Imugem doesn’t want to narrow himself down to a particular (sub)genre or niche without losing that pure techno feel in his productions. We encourage that off course, especially if the results are this beautiful and without loss of the producers very own soundsignature. Imugem manages to pull all of that of, seemlessly without effort.Ambivalent – “WOW! This is a really nice release. I’m all over Detoxification.”Norman Nodge – “Solid enough tunes. Subcutaneous Tissue is standout.”Funk D’Void – “Propa Propa Propa!! Love this release mucho!!”Sei A – “This is great stuff from Imugem… In fact, I like everything on here. More please?”Phil Kieran – “I think for me, I’m feeling Aquarium. I’m liking the sound of that one.”Psycatron – “This is really great stuff from Imugem. Will be playing one of them in our BBC Ulster show.”Paul Brtschitsch – “Thanx for sending this over guys, I like it and will be playing “Subcutaneous Tissue” & “Detoxification”!!”AnD – “The Imugen on Balans sounds really tight, definitely some of his best work to date!!”Beats And Beyond – “It doesn’t get much better than this. A must-have for techno heads.”Ian O’Donovan – “Beware is nice, 90’s Detroit style techno. Will play this!!”Paul Corey – (Resident Advisor/Ibiza Voice) – “Nice EP of varying textures and momentum.”Angel Molina – “The TRUE techno. Full marks from me, nothing else to say. Detoxification is incredible!” Brendon Moeller – “Yes! I love this man’s work. Beware is great, can’t wait to play it!”Mr Jones – “Nice, I like the dark driving Subcutaneous Tissue, I will definitely play this one. Lovely stuff.”Patrice Baumel – “Aquarium is so DEEEEEEEEP!! Really nice!!”Vince Watson – “Absolutely excellent, I’m all over this. Especially Beware!!”Stephan Bodzin – “Super EP! Love that dark feeling, excellent production as well. Full marks!”DVS1 – “Subcutaneous tissue is the one for me! Lovely music. Thanx for this one Darko!”Rolando – ‘I’m feeling Detoxification the most, looking forward to playing this out.
