Deadbeat and Paul St Hilaire have created an incredibly beautiful, sublime dub techno record. Canadian producer Deadbeat has a subtle way with reverb and rim shots, while Paul St Hilaire (who has had some more exuberant collaborations with The Bug) rides atop smooth and warm. The two spent nearly a year on the record and its seamless sound reflects that. An excellent addition to an undervalued genre. It’s out March 3rd on BLKRTZ.
