The Ukrainian tech-house star is at his wonky, off-kilter best on opener ‘Transcend’, dousing a typically crunching, shoulder-swinging groove in glitchy electronics, moody aural textures, wild drum fills, trippy noises and effects-laden spoken word snippets. He doffs a cap to the masters of Romanian minimalism on the sturdy, metallic and locked-in excellence of ‘Monoliza’ before rounding off another rock-solid EP with ‘Elephant Dream’, a hazier and deeper slab of tech-house hypnotism rich in mind-altering stereo separation, swelling chords, oddball electronics and smooth, seductive beats.
