One day I listened through all the remixes I made over the past years and I realised, that they are more than just altered versions of the original, that they are really personal, that they tell how I felt in the past years, that they are a part of my history. And I figured, that they would make a really nice album. When compiling the tracks I realized, that they can be put into two categories: one is deep, melancholic, longing music and the other one is groovy techno with a portion of humor and fun. So CD1 is deep and CD2 is the funky stuff. I compiled it like a mix, it invites you and takes you on a journey. You can listen to it from the beginning til the end. It’s not about the single tracks anymore, it’s a whole story now. And that’s what it really is, it is a part of my emotional life in the past years. I think music deserves time and space. From fast food to a candle light dinner. That’s the idea. I also realized that some tracks could use a little improvement here and there. So you might find some nice new details throughout the selection. So to sum it up, Selected Remixes is a pretty personal double album reflecting 2 sides of life, going deep and going out of yourself. It took us ages to make this happen, since there are so many labels and artists involved and having it done now, gives me a little rush. Hope you can enjoy it too!
