For our next release, Robot Needs Oil returns to Sonic Soul records with his trippy deep house cut “La Balada” along with remixes from Meloder, Jero Nougues and Makanan. The original track has a bouncey bassline great to warm ups, along with spacey ambient pads and sound effects in the backround. The chopped vocals also work nicey on this ambient deep track. It build up towards the middle and end, and is a great track both for warm up sets or even a little later. The Percussions also continue to build up and by the end of the track it is hard to imagine anyone not dancing! Meloder’s remix takes a different approach to the track and the result is a slightly harder, yet also trippy and melodic remix, which is a signature of his works. It falls in between a deep house track and a progressive house journey into outter space, complete with chord changes and proggy arpeggios. Jero takes it back to the deep, with understates stabs and an almost techy bassline, that is guaranteed to get the floor pumping. He use of the vocal phrase “Can you feel the bassline” is perfectly placed to bring the vibe up on que. Some beautifully place vox sfx also add to this beautifully crafter deep house track. The Makanan remix, while being closest to the original, also takes it into a little more energetic direction. Chopped vocals are emphasized giving it a psychedelic tip on top of an almost techy vibe.
