Oakland’s Eric Douglas Porter of Afrikan Sciences appears again with soulful and sublime Afro house courtesy of Lakuti’s tremendous Uzuri imprint. First Track “Fox N’ Hound” takes its cues from early noughties broken beat of Bugz In The Attic with soothing female vocals. Next is the smooth R&B affair of Futon Jam; dope and chilled to the max and reminiscent of a Three Chairs kind of workout. But things get more upbeat on “Zukunft/Silber” where a tough, dusty and slightly off beat faces off with funky live bass and a dreamy arpeggio. Tip!
