Hypercolour can be counted on to deliver surefire tech house for any dancefloor and this is no exception. Josh Thompson and J. Witshire team up again as Blue & Green having previously released on diffusion label Losing Suki. The dreamy deep house of “The Wait” is totally sublime with its smooth crooning vocals riding on top of spangling guitars and a tough, shuffling beat. Man of the moment Alan Fitzpatrick steps up next to deliver a remix that is suitably tough as you’d expect; adding more power to the beat and accentuating the dark atmosphere. He does a fine job indeed. Finally A Sagittarian gives the track a damn fine techno re rub of a soulful, Motor City kind. All the right elements are there; a funky bassline, syncopated rhythms and melancholic yet blissful pads.
