With the past three years yielding releases on Diskotopia, Glacial Sound and Soundman Chronicles, Rabit makes the leap to Tri Angle with a new salvo of haunting, displaced vignettes that say a lot in a very short time. From strung out ambience to heavy-rushing half-step pressure, it’s impressive that four tracks have so many ideas flying around a stereo image. There’s some fiery sound design at work in the likes of “Bloody Eye” as shards of percussive matter flirt with bruising basslines in a constantly contorting warren of high-pressure industro-dread. Any loyal follower of Tri Angle will be fully locked in to the edgy atmospheres and chameleonic beats locked within Rabit’s imagination.
