The ink has barely dried on Cosmic Pint Glass’s first, hand-stamped 12″, and they’re already treating us to a similarly impressive follow-up. This one comes from Tony G, whose 2013 release Simple Dreams continues to get major rotations. The deep house producer drops two contrasting versions of “Plesiosauria”; an excellent original version built around sparse, rolling tribal drums and ghostly melodies, and “Alone With The Sea”, an ambient interpretation that focuses more on field recordings and melancholic synthesizer lines. Running Back and Beats In Space man Philip Lauer provides the flipside remix, turning the bittersweet original into a synthesizer-heavy chunk of disco-tinged deep house bliss.
