Erol Alkan, Stereolab/The High Llamas, and The Boredoms’ Eye overhaul the yacht-disco paeans of Rundgren, Nikolaisen and Lindstrøm’s ‘Runddans’ album. Alkan furnishes a cosmic-plumed 10minute+ rework of the title track flush with searing arpeggios and ghostly machine pulses that fade in and out of the mix, swelling to a Scando-disco peak, whereas Sterolab and The High Llamas flavour the creamy pop soul tone of ‘Put Your Arms Around Me’ with a touch of garlic and EYE spins ‘Lind’ into spiralling vortex of glassy tone and palpitating bass rushes.
