Inaugurating the Between Fields imprint are newcomers Greg Palmer and Svetoslav Stoyanov aka SG with the Oseng EP, featuring an assortment of loose breakbeats and warm sonics. Recorded between 2018 and 2020 in Berlin, the impressive debut features moments of broken beat as heard on the celestial deepness of “The Way Out” which is reminiscent of mid ’90s Detroit IDM, while the title track bridges the gap between UK broken beat, nu-jazz and glitch in impressive fashion. They close it out with the deep space transmissions of “Tau” (Reprise mix) which is a lush ambient trip for travelling without moving – recommended!
