The more fanatical Frak fans out there will already be well aware of this latest release on Borft which sees group member Johan Sturesson donning his Kord guise for a quite excellent mini album of haywire electronics. Absence Of Fear is his first solo release on Borft since 1998 (!) though there was a 7″ issued through sub label Djuring Phonogram back in 2007, and is ripe with bleep laden electro and techno that benefits from the mastering skills of Andreas Tilliander and Jan Svensson. Across the six tracks Sturesson veers through moments of contemplation, abstraction and outright dancefloor brilliance with “Trainwreck” and “In Absence” cuts the more adventurous selectors will cherish.
