The Black Sites project from Pudel residents f#x and Helena Hauff debuted in pretty illustrious fashion last year with the Prototype 12″ for the PAN label, but given the kind of music the pair play at the Hamburg club you expect they are more excited about this new record. Lining up on Panzerkreuz label on a split release with rising local talent Ghetto Gem, Black Sites sound very much at home on the Bunker offshoot. If you were one of the lucky few to cop Hauff’s recent solo Panzerkreuz debut you won’t need much more persuading to indulge here on a record that’s described by the label quite correctly as “acid house ghetto tech jam retardedness vs heavy-pounding and brain-crushing acidic darkcore techno insanity”.
