Kraków based ukasz Maszczyski aka Kixnare has his roots, like many Polish artists, deeply rooted in hip-hop. Having taken his first production steps in the early 2000’s he has gone onto collaborate with many of his home nations finest hip-hop artists. With two albums already in the locker Kixnare is now experimenting and honing his skills and sound in other genres. His track ‘Sun Touch’ recently appeared on the Friends Will Carry You Home Too compilation and here he presents his latest work, Obsessed. Deep and bass-heavy, this garage influenced number with its spritely melody and weighty bottom end is perfect for todays floors. Joining him on on the ‘Cloned Soul’ ep is fellow Polish artist, Good Paul. With 15 years behind the decks and reputation as incredible ‘selector’, Good Paul has become one of the most interesting figures of the Polish Dance scene. The Red Bull Music Academy graduate has exhibited his skills at many of Europe’s biggest festivals and 2012 has already seen him release two exciting singles, Find and One More Time 23. His Pets debut is the delicate and delightful, Road. A feel good, warm textured number that has winning inclusion in the longer sets of Catz ‘n Dogz for many weeks. Simon Garcia one is a deadly weapon… Biru Bee (Round Table Knights) Its all about Good Pauls Road for me. I really like that one!! Alland Byallo Obsessed original is beautiful! The originals are all great and while both remixes are nice, Simon’s is more my vibe for my DJ sets. Danny Howells Super solid and classy originals, and stunning mixes from Garcia and Meyer/Patlac .. everything here is gold. Laura Jones Simon Garcia remix the cut for me here. Thank you for the music as always guys! Jimpster Amazing originals but the remixes are strong too. Obsessed is right up my street so definitely something I’ll be playing. Nicely done once again Pets!
