Here, former Homepark man Rob Glassett dons his Fold guise for a second EP of atmospheric late night jams for the always-intriguing Electric Minds imprint. There’s much to enjoy, from the claustrophobic warmth of opener “Gully” – all bouncing, one-note riffs, heavily compressed bottom end and distorted techno drums – to the off-kilter deep futurism of the decidedly wonky “Gelatinous” (think alien melodies, intricate cymbals and rolling beats). There’s some piano-laden late night tech-house dubbiness in the shape of “Dun Kno”, and a triumphant trip into sparse, smoky, minimal dub techno territory (the standout “Harlyn Dub”). In other words, there’s plenty to excite those of a late night techno sensibility.
