We’re in a pretty good place in electronic music right now. At this time in past years we’ve talked about the emerging dialogues between scenes, but at the end of 2013 this cross-pollination feels completely natural. Collectively we seem to be more open to different sounds and styles than ever before. Our top ten tracks of 2013 is a decent bit of evidence for this. We’ve got understated vocal numbers. Roughed-up rave tunes. Sparkly pop tracks. Massive piano workouts. Lo-fi club beats. You get the picture. If we didn’t know it before this year then we certainly do now: breaking down barriers is what drives the scene forwards.

The influences are there and goes from Moroder to Vangelis going through Megabeat in four cosmic and emotional cuts that will delight your feet and ears. To remix Night Stalker we have chosen another producer living in Madrid but born in Córdoba, Javi Redondo. With a recent and promising career as a producer, his first 12 appeared in Correspondant on spring, Javi shows his talent in a dark and acid remix, respecting the original track but with his own trademark.
