He has been in the music scene in London for a while, but is a bit of an unsung hero in our eyes. His skill of mixing genres is unmatched. Pulling from different influences regardless of genre or era is what gives his music its distinct style.
“Insecurities” is K15’s debut on Wild Oats; a 5-track EP with sampled dancefloor classics, re-works, and original music.

Label/Cat#: Trouble & Bass – TBD 108
Year: 15 July, 2014
Source: WEB
Format: aac
Quality: 256 kbps
Size: 25 MB
Genre: Electronic
Style: Bass, House

Tracklist:
1. Drone (4:51)
2. Drone (Sister remix) (3:48)
3. Pickup (4:27)

Rinse FM badboy Shox goes in for the kill on his latest outing for the always quality Trouble & Bass label. “Drone” is a perfect example of his style, which sits somewhere between UK funky, bass and 2-step; a rigid percussive pattern is engulfed by one mean flurry of low-end and a whole load of glitchy synth oddities, providing a killer for the dancefloor and headphones. The Sister remix is straighter, more to the point and backed by a broodingly gnarly repetition of kickdrums. Lastly, it’s fair to say that “Pickup” is the housiest of the lot, where a stumbling 4/4 pattern is surrounded by sparse melodies and a 90s-inspired bassline. Boom!

Artist: Saint Leidal The 2nd
Title Of Album: Future Tiberian Baths

01 – Body Bubble 1 4:18
02 – Body Bubble 2 3:29
03 – Bad 5:12
04 – Afterparty 2:11
05 – My First Car 4:28

08 – The Speaking Piano 2:18
09 – My First Car (Route 8’s 808 Soundtrack Mix) 5:53
10 – Body Bubble 2 (Norwell’s Popdream Mix) 5:04

If there was a Top Of The Pops for DIY electronics, then St Leidal the 2nd‘s slice of sun-kissed exotica heaven would probably be number one for months to come. Up and coming Hungarian producer, András Leidal had explored practically everything between shoegaze and acid before starting his solo project, St Leidal the 2nd in 2009 – he is part of Wedding Acid Group’s trio, whose anthology was released on Farbwechsel this past spring.

Following a couple of self-released EPs and a refined release on 8ounce records, Future Tiberian Baths is András’s most accomplished work to date. Similarly to St Leidal’s previous works, it is a collection of sample laden, beat driven songs that sound like listening to an octopus jamming to a sleazy 80s teenage movie theme from the inside of an aquarium. These eight originals are all built from an almost transparent fabric that melts both your mind and your body, recalling the best moments of vaporwave. What makes St Leidal the 2nd stand out though is his effortless, almost minimalistic approach that lets him fuse hopeful melancholy and nostalgia with an array of influences with suave ease and confidence.
