Forget Me is the debut release by Austrian wunderkind Dead Battery on Kannibalen Records. Following his chart-topping remix of Dabins Awakening, Dead Battery returns with an electrifying pair of original compositions. Plantrae is an intricate, energetic and biotic sound experience originating deep in the rainforests of oregon. It is composed of a bass rooted, stretchy midtempo foundation and live viola improvisation that embodies the lively spirit of classical, swing and folk. Seeking to unite organic melody and intricate electronics, Plantrae also encourages the listener to delve deep into the humyn ethos, back to a time when we lived as one with the earth. Moving percussion blends seamlessly with glistening string melodies and vibrant synth lines, bringing folk and earth-inspired psalms into the bass driven universe of midtempo and broken beat glitchhop.
Plantrae’s debut EP ‘Taproot’ takes us on an auditory journey through dance, growth and nature. Connecting you sonically to your roots through delicate synths, squishy bass, and folk infused melodies; Taproot brings you back to the earth. The melodies are intense, blending with the viola to create a vibrant natural feel that encapsulates this EP. In addition to electronic wizardry, all of the acoustic melodies including the viola, mandolin and guitar were recorded live by Plantrae.
This EP sets the stage for the next chapter of Plantrae’s evolution into a darker, more emotional musical experience that represents the very intense time of learning and evolving that humynkind is currently embarking on.
