It’s quite hard to tell exactly what genre Triple S goes for in their tracks, but duo’s hybrid solutions are exactly the sort of thing we want to hear from a UK artist. Coming through on Projects All Out “Business” is a proper face-melter, a tune boasting savage mutant bass slabs and powerful bass drums, but “Buttons” is a lot more stepping, charged and grimed-out. “Hungry II” is another mutant special, except this time Triple S goes for the early breakbeat-dubstep sound that was pioneered by the likes of Toasty: one that we still love. Check “Virtual” for its jagged stabs of percussion too, any of these killer could have easily made it on a Plastician mixtape back in the days.
