Nu Era are a duo from the West Midlands intent on toppling Bristol’s bas crown by championed in a ‘new era’ of bass music. So far they’ve been doing a good job about it, particularly with their jams on Four40. “Under My Skin” sees them reunited with the label, bring fire over the course of three new tracks. The title track opens the EP with some minimal 4 x 4 action, whilst “Rush” brings the ghetto bounce to the party and “Go” with its huge snare build ups and mercilessly low bottom end is a peak time monster if ever there was one.
