Canada’s Jessy Lanza, recent LP Oh No, was rightly celebrated for its dream-like fusion of pop, RnB and synths. Now we get a selection of remixes of album tracks. First up, Morgan Geist of Metro Area delivers a celestial, high altitude nod-out version of “I Talk BB” that seems to take George Michaels’ A Different Corner as inspiration. Elsewhere “Could B U” stays on the same lit vibe but sounds like Timbaland and Aaliyah bouncing on cotton wool clouds. Lastly “Going Somewhere”, in the hands of DVA HI:EMOTIONS, is a collage of weird bleeps, vocal snippets and soft Fairlight melodies. Simply gorgeous.
