There’s not much info on the ground regarding this new Paid Reach label, but the involvement of one Gunnar Wendel will mean there are plenty out there wanting to check it out. First surfacing towards the end of Lowtec’s great RA 439 podcast for Resident Advisor last year, Paid Reach is described as a “collaboration” with Wendel’s Ominira label and features two tracks “edited and produced” by Wendel. Both “Fair Trade Dark” and “Colddrinksnreverse” exist at the more abstract end of the electronic music scale, with the former little more than playfully toying with a modulated loop. “Colddrinksnreverse” meanwhile is around three minutes of phased and phucked vocal samples. Excellent mixtape material basically.
