Back in 2013, the artist previously known as Stupid Human morphed into Hugh Mane for a 12″ of “recovered house” jams on Running Back. Here, the South London-based producer returns to Gerd Janson’s label with more exotic, Balearic-influenced deepness for beach bars, after-parties and loved-up warm-up slots. He begins with the Italo-influenced electronic throb of the decidedly humid “Live Drama”, before enhancing his Balearic credentials with the glistening guitars, ’80s AOR shuffle and tropical melodies of “Groping In The Moonlight”. “Snapshot Of Love” is a drowsy, dubbed-out Balearic deep house shuffler, while title track “Control Drama” rounds of the EP by way of International Feel style sun-kissed melodies, tactile rhythms and blissful synthesizer flourishes
