Veteran German producer Roman Flügel comes to Phantasy Sound with “Tippex In My Eye”, a fascinating collaboration with vocalist PYTKO that twists dub textures into something far more fresh and explosive. The main version begins in deceptively restrained fashion, made around spacious dub production, hypnotic rhythm and a catchy vocal performance that gives the record an unusually accessible edge. PYTKO’s presence adds personality with pulling the track toward a more song-based structure before everything gradually shifts. By the second half, the production opens into a driving techno portion, transforming the mood completely before winding back down. It’s very creative and original to say the least. The instrumental version is also featurd here while, the “Dance Mix” fully embraces the club environment, stretching the track into a more streamlined and extended for DJ culture.
