After a lengthy hiatus, Bloody Mary drops a new EP on her own Dame Music label. Alternate States of Reality sees her return in style. With a focus on the 303 sound, “Reality One (Acid Mix)” roars into life. Led by rolling snares and gurgling acid, it makes for an intense combination. Visceral 303 lines are combined with atmospheric synths on “Reality Two (Alternative Mix)”, with this fusion unfolding against the backdrop of rolling drums. As its title implies, “Reality Three (909 Mix)” resounds to a slamming rhythm and robust kicks. Soma owners Slam round off the release with a wild take on “Reality Three” that speeds up to a dizzying pace before slowing down again.
