Lewis Fautzi follows on last year’s EP for Soma with this turbo-charged release on Bas Mooy’s imprint. “Process” resounds to an industrial broken beat rhythm and sounds similar in style to Regis’ more angular work as Kalon. On “Another Try”, Fautzi opts for a straighter approach, delivering pounding bass drums and swirling, hypnotic textures. He maintains a hectic pace on “Inwards”, with hypnotic drones unravelling over tight kicks, while on “Complete Cycle” Fautzi ventures farther into an industrial direction. Led by a pounding drum track, the backing arrangement underpins layer upon layer of noisy electronic tones – a rousing finale to this fine release.
