For ACEN024 we welcome London-based artist borderlandstate
to the label. Usually found working with his production
‘partner the best kisser in l.a.’ for the likes of Exit, T T and
Peder Mannerfelt Productions ‘Resonant Advisor’ sees the
artist step out for his debut solo release.

Title track ‘Resonant Advisor’ focuses itself around a
temperamental modulated bassline that lays the foundation
for dark muffled melodies. Spaced out percussion flitters
around the soundscape, cemented by a gritty drum beat
which leads the whole track.

B-side Red Lines Have an End’ kicks off with bell-like stabs
and muffled arpeggios, swelling chords surround the space
and grow with intensity before off-beat drum patterns and
sinking subs are introduced. The tracks then flows between
big, rich expanses filled with harmony and texture and more
concentrated spaces packed with percussive beats and
melodies.

Resonant Advisor is available across all platforms from the 29th of January. All label proceeds will be donated to The Black Curriculum.
