Matthias Tanzmann and his Moon Harbour imprint are now almost household names in today’s hugely popular appeal of house and techno. The Leipzig native and Distillery Club resident has been plying his craft over nearly two decades with a massive discography of his own, not to mention his various residencies over the years at some of The White Isle’s biggest parties, namely Circo Loco. The Momentum LP is his first album since 2008’s Restless and sees Tanzmann explore a variety of moods and grooves; from the deep and tropical vibes of the opener “Tamarind”, the dusty deep house of “Rybu”, the slinky and emotive tech house usually more associated with him as shown on “Fireworks On The Roof” plus he proves he can still pursue something more experimental like on the dubby minimal hypnotism of “Sfumato”.
