Two members from the Munich based outfit “LaBrassBanda” have formed a side project mixing beats, analogue synths and.. live trumpet! Bringing their sounds to festival stages and clubs throughout Germany, Strome are a unique live act presenting exciting sounds and dynamic drums made completely live: by hand or by modular synthesisers. First track “You” is a mysterious and woozy techno drifter with a loose live feel and one hell of a funky synth bassline. It’s reminiscent of Mathew Jonson or Cobblestone Jazz. Next “Es Wird Zeit” keeps on with the brooding side of things on this epic journey track full of dreamy melodies, rich pads and another infectious bassline. Finally “Schall Und Rauch” goes for the jugular; this one’s is tough and gritty; don’t let that sublime breakdown fool you otherwise.
