From the dizzy heights of chart success with tracks ‘Still Speedin’ and ‘Level Up’ it seemed inconceivable to bring the momentum to a halt. Sway’s temporary hiatus from the game now looks to be our gain as he gears up to give us the highly anticipated “Deliverance” album.
Deliverance is an album that is loosely based on the past 5 years of Sway’s journey in life and his World of music. From tragedies to triumphs, independent rapper to record label head, son to father and although Sway proclaims that he is “forever learning in the world of music” he has much wisdom and knowledge to offer to the next generation.
Well known for championing and discovering great talent in the earlier stages of their careers (Ed Sheeran, Mr Hudson, Al Shux & Flux Pavilion), the “Deliverance” shows Sway once again introducing new names and reaffirming his position as a curator of great new talent such as KSI, Sam Garrett, Tony Blaize and Tiggs Da Author, whom he initially signed and developed prior to his newly inked deal with Sony.
His most heartfelt yet intensely lyrical album to date, Sway paints vivid pictures over in-house productions, as well as offerings from World heavyweight producers Giorgio Tuinfort, Amon Tobin, and The Streets legend Mike Skinner.
The track entitled ‘Stream It’, once again shows Sways insight into the current climate of the music industry, acting as the 2015 follow up to previous tracks ‘Upload’ and ‘Download’. The catchy track, which features afrobeats star Mista Silva, shows Sway back to his lyrical and comical best. “Stream It” will be followed with his anthemic lead single ‘Snap Shot’ to be released in July alongside the Deliverance album.
